Imagination Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Imagination

Sitting deep in thought wishing I could fly
Imaginations wings unfurled
Invisible taut gossamer thoughts
Sent soaring into wonderments grip
Flying high outside of earthly influences
Dipping past the rings of Saturn and beyond
Onwards drawn riding the chariot of time
Multicoloured diamond facetted stars shimmering
Along the milky ways ribbon of lights
Twinkling mini sunbursts of energy
One by one, surreal imaginative thoughts flash past
Mixed and stirred from knowledge’s bowl
Wings beating in time with my heart
Alighting back to the present
Another day
Another way
Fighting off boredoms claws
Imagination is my sanity

Good poem. Like your last line states, imagination is my sanity. It's definitely mine, it inspires me constantly through intellect.
