Images Of Fire Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Images Of Fire

Flying one mile high
American B-29 bomber Enola Gay
Opens bomb doors over Hiroshima
Pilot Paul Tibbets becomes king of death.

Bomb
called 'Little Boy'
drops to earth.

Hell bursts asunder engulfing the city
Blinding flash with heat wave
Mushroom cloud rising thousands of feet
Tongues of flames devouring life.
