Image And Metaphor
the meadow in spring
is an image and a metaphor
the yellow dandelion
the newness of life itself
breeds the seeds of newer life
the man who sees the meadow
is not a man but is all men
he reflects on the image
so the man is consciousness
the metaphor of the gods
the meadow in spring
is an image without the man
the man without the meadow
is not conscious of the image
the divine metaphor is lost
