Illusions Poem by Dee Corpolongo

Illusions

Rating: 5.0

Catch me when I'm sleeping
a song made just for you
leave me when I'm weeping
for this love isn't true

It's what dreams are made of
and wishes that can't be
just a conquest for you
and nothing left for me

It's time has come to pass
and now it's best to go
Memories made, I guess
of love I didn't know

A sad intrusion on your heart. A brief and to the point tale of a sad breakup. A well penned story of unrequieted love.-fine job here. Worth a 10 in my book
