Illusion-2 Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Illusion-2

Primitive or modern;
What God is always
Stays inquisition of man
Though in his own image
God is created
And worshipped by him always
See how frightful God is
Glaring at you in a temple
And his idea of God it is
Form or formless
Man creates God in his own image
Man knows not God
What He really is
But he imagines Him
To be this or that always
The worshipper in a temple
Or mosque or church
Holding within his mind an image
And worshipping that image, not real
He is worshipping an idea
Something by nature not eternal
Clinging not to reality but illusion
And illusion which is not real
Have been practiced by him
Through hundreds of years
Because people have suggested it to him to be real
When man learns to build a temple quiet
Within his own heart
Then what God is he will have learnt……………..

Note-This is not to hurt anybody’s faith or sentiment.
This is my personal feeling of something
Which looks illusive though people have great faith on it

Beautiful poem. Yes, from childhood what we are taught, we follow it. Now also we teach our children too the same way. If we talk to them this way, they will not understand it. I too agree many will not understand. I started realising it now only. Previously I used to visit temples a lot. But now I feel there is something beyond. Yes, one thing I agree, by visiting temple we get positivity, I feel it this way because in temples there is constant chanting of mantras which is that positive energy fills the air.. Sounds too carries positive energy and Chanting Gayatri Mantra, OM sounds helps in bringing positivity in ones life. Thats why praying in groups can bring positive energy to oneself...This is my favourite topic and I think I should stop else it will go nonstop.. Thanks for this Wonderful poem and I loved reading it.
