Illness/Fatigue Poem by Michael S...

Illness/Fatigue

Carry me away on your scarlet chariot
Carry me to the place when I am loved
The only place
Carry me to where words are gentle
And worlds are seperate
Carry me to where illness does not exist
And fatigue is a welcome friend
Carry me because my muscles ache
And carry me because
I long for you
Let us not wait long

I'm sorry though, I cannot leave
But please fear not
I'll carry you
To where your loved
And words are soft
Where you're not sick
And you'll be my welcome friend
And we'll sleep till dawn cradles our love
She may exist right above
But we'll be happy, so far below
I promise you that
