Ignored Poem by Ellen Kang

Ignored

Getting the feeling you don’t even exist
Getting the feeling that people don’t care
Getting the feeling your invisible
People look at you see right through you

No one tries to make you feel better
No wants you to feel loved
No one tries to pull you out of the cold
Leaving you out there in the cold to freeze

No one caring if they see you hurting yourself
No one listening to your screams
No one listening to your cries
They just stare at you

Staring and staring
While you scream in pain
Hoping someone will listen
And save you
