Ignorance Poem by Prabal Dev

Ignorance

Humanity will be crippled if humans ignore one another
And so shall I be if I don’t write down this composition.
These free verses are not a description of the title
But are fragments of my broken soul, echoing their grief from the tip of my pen.
Seasons shall not delight them
Condolences shall not heal them
They shall be healed by the same person who let them to be wounded.
And that’s me.

There were times when there was happiness
Why was I happy?
Because I had the worth of appreciating joy, and therefore, being joyous.
There are times now when I call loneliness to be my mate
There are times now when I find solitude to write down such desolate notes
There are times now that compel me to see the past when I was happy.

Am I losing that worth?
Probably I am.
And that is being well reflected to me.
How ignorant I have become in their eyes-
Who, from a couple of days, have started achieving that worth,
And therefore, are ignoring the less worthy.

This flow is rather ridiculous
I don’t know if I could even reach the conclusion or not.
This is because I don’t find if this flow is making me reach anywhere or not.

If I think why I am ignored
I better get this answer
‘Because I ignore myself these days.’
And that’s my fault.
But oh you people! Please!
Don’t ignore me to such an extent that I may be oblivion.
O people! Don’t forget that the trees which have deep roots are the survivors, are the worthiest.
O people! Helping others increases your strength.
Your worth is worthless if that doesn’t help someone.

From my side,
I shall try my best to not to ignore myself, and therefore, not be ignored by anyone.
For my worth isn’t fading
But is learning from these experiences to build itself a pure and better one.

My worth shall not be inferior to yours
My worth shall not be superior to yours
But my worth shall be this that I am worthful.
