Ignorance Poem by Violet Montario

Ignorance

I passed by ignorace the other day
and i am sad to say she was thin and broken.
She walked with a limp,
but then picked up the pace
as if nothing was ever wrong.
Her hair was the color of dirt
her eyes the same empty brown
but she didn't seem to notice.
Perhaps she did
I will never know,
but i can still see her smile clearly
It was fake,
pasted or painted on her hollow face
Yet it moved perfectly with her.
she spoke with a monotone voice
cracking every once and a while
Sounding as if her mind was not there,
But rather it was drifting,
floating away with the wind
refusing to be found
As i continued on,
i found myself angry
that she refused to admit
I was there at all.
