If You Must Wear A Mask Poem by RIC BASTASA

If You Must Wear A Mask

my friend if you must
wear a mask
try the one with a contagious
smile or even the one
with loud laughter
this world is sad
so sad that it has forgotten the
shape of the smile
the links to laughter
wear the mask and
be with us
we'll take the same boat
to the other edge of
this earth
