If You Have To Leave Poem by Madeline Arnold

If You Have To Leave

Rating: 5.0

If you have to leave, just leave
Take my soul and smile with you
Don't leave any trace
Succeed and erase
All history of your ever being here

If you have to leave, just leave
I hate feeling you going away
Each day a new Hell
They tell me I'm not well
I watch you walking slowly

If you have to leave, just leave
You've been coming and going for years
Since I was young
I knew we were done
I'll miss you, happiness.

splendid write....very nicely crafted piece of work....but dear poet remember happiness comes fron within, from the nature around us...we just need to learn the art of drawing it in our daily life and yes then we will be happy! take care
