If So Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

If So

If so

I hear Croatians:
- "Have our roots in Iran."

Had a guest, Cypriot
-he told me happily
- "Am like meal, delicious,
-with spice of Iran."

Read a book about the Koreans;
-wondered when encountered
- "Have blood of Iran."

Sofia's Fire dance says a lot:
- "Bulgarians keep alive
-the culture of Mithra, of Iran."

Reading the Shahnameh
- (The Bible for Iran)
-I found out Fereidoon
-married his three sons
-to daughters of King of
-Great Land, known: "Yemen."

Heading for Lesotho
-flew by Zanzibar
-love this name's origin.

It is so meaningful and Persian
- (is compound, made of two) :
- the "Zangi" are "Besyar."
- "Blacks" are "Plenty."

This great Skasky…
- (as call it the Russians)
-is wide and very long.

Therefore, I, who see this,
-tracing the man's roots,
-don't believe in "Borders"
-loudly shout: "No to walls! "
