If Only You Could See Poem by Brandon Rhys Cole

If Only You Could See

Rating: 5.0

You just don't understand
I'm not going to be there, and just stand,
But for me you are banned
Because of this friendship brand.
If only I could pick up the former strand,
That could have had you; in my hand.
If only love and you, could be canned,
I can only withstand, until time gives me the upper hand.

I wait and wait for days, weeks and years,
But never the path clears;
Always there are other peers,
Who gain all the cheers
Leaving me to hide the tears.
You and me could make a sphere,
Still that time, never comes near
As for me, you are too dear.

I wrote it down for you to see.
In the hope it will be the key,
To clear all the debris,
And open the chance of you and I to be,
By your own decree,
If only you could see.
