I tried to think of reasons,
Why I should keep love away.
But in my mind each love I knew,
Were memories that would stay.

I did my best to forget,
How each love came to end.
I could not blame no one else,
But me.

And so clear I now see,
I was not then ready...
To love.

I tried to think of reasons why,
I lie and not admit...
I want another chance to love.
If I had one more chance to love...
I would.

I tried to think of reasons,
Why I should keep love away.
But...
If I had just one more chance,
Just one more chance to love again...
I could.
