If I Died Today….. Poem by Joann Carrano Passmore

If I died today, I would leave my husband
Upon my death he would be saddened
I loved him with all of my heart
And we will miss each other while we are apart

If I died today my children would be so alone and lost
For I know if they could they would keep me alive at any cost
Their world would be so confused and torn apart
For someone they loved had died and broken their heart

My grandchildren would never know the love I shared
They would never know how much I really cared
They would never be given a goodnight kiss
This is something they would really miss

My family would miss me because they know
That I made everything in their life flow
I would bring them so much joy and happiness
That there world would be filled with love and brightness

There will be friends that I will leave behind
Forever will our love and memories be entwined
My friends was there through the years
And we shed so many tears

But my life is now complete
With the ceasing of my heartbeat
My life has quickly fated away
But my love ones memories are here to stay
