If I could be the Universe
I would choose for myself
only the things beautiful

If I could be the tallest tree
I'ld grow where all all could see
my gleamour and strength
All other trees would have to wait
For the tallest tree to first be seen

If I could be the shining Sun
I would keep my light
and wait for night
when every star can be in sight
Then I'ld show to all that stare
That I am the brightest of all the stars.

If I could be the rushing storm
I'ld show to the Universe
That I am strong
I would destroy all the things beautiful
By that the things
not beautiful will begin to show
That God made all
Beautiful or not

and try as one may seem to try
you could be what God wants
Failure to submit would be
An error in the plan

to be
