would you look my way
or avoid me with shame?

If I... sent you a smile
would your heart hold it dear
or reject it with denial?

If I... gave you a glance
would it stir lost emotions
or would your defenses enhance?

If I... held out my hand
would you remember its touch
or would you spit in the sand?

If I... dropped dead tomorrow
would it put you at ease
or feel just a 'wee-bit' of sorrow?
