If eyes could speak

If eyes could speak... I wouldn't need to say a word
My eyes'd betray me... And tell you how i really feel
If looks were words... they could tell you your worth
More clearly than the words... that my mouth can ever speak

If eyes could speak... I could say soo much
I would speak words that could save the world
And everyone could see in a new light
But if my eyes could speak they would speak only to you
They would tell you you're beautiful
They could tell about you in ways never heard
And wonderful words could be spoken
Because your are the one they describe

If my looks were words... How easy it would be
To converse with you... Without saying the wrong things
I could tell you how i feel... so that you can feel what I feel
Not just hear the words that come from my mouth

If eyes could speak... Then maybe you could finally see
Who I really am... When i'm not stumbling like a goof
Maybe you could see the side of me you were always meant to see
And not just the side my shyness let you
Maybe then... You can learn to love me
For the words my eyes speak.

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
