If ever

If ever am locked up inbetween decisions
or my world is falling apart
If ever am too tired to take up any action
Or too scared to bounce back

If ever i feel dizzy too think
Or my vision, blurred to see
If ever i feel i can't win
Or my daylight seems dim

If ever i feel i'm alone
Or feel i have no home
If ever i feel soul-deserted
Or wail like an empty vessel

I'd look back into the years
To see how my past is spent
And in all the madness
I'd say all is well

poet Edgar Allan Poe

Kind solace in a dying hour!
Such, father, is not (now) my theme-
I will not madly deem that power
Of Earth may shrive me of the sin
