If Cat For Mice....., Why Not.........? .....[predator/Prey; Housekeeping; Very Short; Humor]

In Winter, for mice, I’m a cheater.
I use no traps; I use a cat. Traps can’t beat her.

As Spring is on the way,
when the ants come to play,
I plan to soon use an anteater.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
i was living that winter in a cold, snowy part of new york state where there very well could have been mice invading my tiny apartment to get warm/find food. but i saw no mice, had no cat, and who cares if there are a few ants in the spring? not me!

Oh, How practical it is to drive away rodents and pests! But if human pests come, I wonder if you will keep a lion or a cheetah! ! (I just tried to be a little humorous.... but I know it is 'dry')

hello readers: when i first wrote this poem 7 years ago, this is the way i wrote it: In winter, for mice, I'm a cheater; no traps, I use cat. They can't beat her. As spring is on the way, when the ants come to play, I plan soon to use an anteater. So, you see, my poems are not always perfect TO BEGIN WITH. I edited it today. bri :)
