If Boys Had Labels Poem by Jasmine Thompson

If Boys Had Labels

If boys were simple
she wouldn; t cry

If boys weren't so dumb
she'd be okay

If boys weren't such jerks
she'd find love

But boys can't help themselves
it's an inherited gene

Programmed from birth
In grained in their brain

She thinks boys should have labels
warning signs, caution symbols.

Something to say
they'll break your heart

They'll kill your self esteem
and wreck all your dreams

If boys weren't so blind
maybe one would like me
