If Poem by Jared Bukowski

If

If you want me to love two,
As much as I loved one,
I can't.

And if you want me to be a pawn,
In your chess game,
I won't.

If you think I meant,
I love you too, not two,
I didn't.

And if you think I can see,
Two separate houses,
Separated by animosity,
Taken from love,
Suffocated by hatred,
I assure you,
I am blind.

Powerful little piece, enjoyed how the rhythm & tempo really starts to build in the last stanza. My partner who has been divorced felt it's power
