İşidin Ey Yarenler

İşidin ey yarenler aşk bir güneşe benzer
Aşık olmayan gönül misal-i taşa benzer

Taş gönülde ne biter dilinde ağu tüter
Nice yumşak söylese sözü savaşa benzer

Aşk erinin gül yüzü yumşanır muma döner
Taş gönüller kararmış şol yavuz kışa benzer

Münkir işini bilmez işi ileri gelmez
Nice tâbir eylesen anlanmaz düşe benzer

Hırs anı almışdürür nefsine kalmışdürür
Kendi tatlı canına yavuz yoldaşa benzer

Aşk kudret küresidir sızdırır âşıkları
Halden hale döndürür andan gümüşe benzer

Âşık canı dinlemez tâ dosta ermeyince
Dünyada kararı yok pervazlı kuşa benzer

Ol sultan kapısında ol Hazret tapusunda
Âşıkların yıldızı her dem çavuşa benzer

Geç Yunus endişeden ne gerek bu pîşeden
Önden ere aşk gerek andan dervişe benzer

The old year went, and the new returned, in the withering weeks of drought,
The cheque was spent that the shearer earned,
