Identity Theft Is A Problem Poem by Mariyah Mckaufman

Identity Theft Is A Problem

Rating: 4.5

When we were little, our parents taught us that stealing was not okay
So let me inform you on what is going on in our world today
This social issue known as identity theft can be tough,
It's a problem dealing with things that are all so rough
unfortunately, It is happening to millions of people each day
But what can an innocent person do besides hope and pray
These thieves are in the wrong, and just trying to benefit
But what will happen when they get caught and become self-evident
Personal information, Credit or debit cards, money, and more
Aren't these all things that we adore?
Can you imagine if one day it all disappeared like using magic?
It would be a rollercoaster of emotions, oh so tragic
What if this tragedy, actually happened to you
Can you even imagine what you would do?
Imagine empty bank accounts with nothing left
It would all be because of theft
Someone out there is impersonating you
This won't just be a situation you can fix with glue
But this happens to people all the time
The world needs to know it must be stopped, because it's a crime
Identity theft isn't a situation to ignore
It's something that I feel we should explore
As a society of potential victims we should be more aware
Maybe then, it wont be as much of a scare

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Because we are living in a world fraught with materialism, identity theft has become the order of the day as criminals people for sole gratification of financial benefits. A nice poem well articulated and penned with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
