Ideals Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Ideals

one fine day there flashed
a thought in my mind
to stop anything that is unjust
happening within my sight
started I implementing with all
earnest the ideal that I chose
firstly I spoiled the plans
of fierce looking goons
molesting a girl
next was the robbery
planned by burglars
then I saved the life
of just born deer cub
from a hungry lion
later averted was a train accident
before it could happen
with a content heart
of saving many lives
I retired to bed in peace that night
All I did was turning off
the channels telecasting those scenes
