Iceberg Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Iceberg

The iceberg floated on water,
As if to say,
Witness my sparkling beauty,
As it in freezing water lay.

But the iceberg itself,
Showed little movement,
As if to say it was sad,
And that was really bad.

'I have been made by nature,
To have very little movement,
And hardly the swoop of a bird,
And the run of a lion's stature.

The iceberg one day witnessed,
That men with cameras and videos came to,
Record this white and blue,
Iceberg to show to the world.

That this slow moving iceberg was a superstar.
