Ice Poem by Night Hawk

Ice

Rating: 3.6

Once I was a warrior, proud and strong and true,
then in a mere breath all of that ended
all because of you.

My courage fled, my heart was broken
I wished that my body was too.

I now sit alone empty and broken,
but i know now what I must do.

Like the glaciers, the snow, the sleet and the hail,
I shall become ice.

Ice is not feeling or weak,
but strong and unmoving,
It feels only the cold of itself

So shall I be

I shall freeze my own heart,
I shall not feel, I will not love again,
but neither will I cry.
All that is left now for me is.....
to die

I have now become ice,
I feel naught but the cold
I am a frozen statue of what once was

I am a warrior still,
but one with no heart,
A warrior in ice
I'm dead yet I walk
Oh you who yet live
learn from our little talk

once I was great, and brave and true,
now I am frozen and lonely and blue

I am nothing
a shadow
a ghost of what I once was
the warrior in ice
