I Wonder Why Poem by Marijke McKinney

I Wonder Why

I wonder why you
Dance with free spirited shouts
The sun is fading

Yet you always do
Look at me with flowered hair
A face of beauty

How I wonder why
You smile each day you wake
Is your life a dream?

Slender body bare
Gentle thoughts on airy eyes
Nothing matters now

Eternal rigid time
Morning’s luminous voices
Seeking reflecting

Revolution leaks
I wonder why, I wonder
What’s this word of free?

Your soul of poems
A splattered colored vision
