I Won'T Forget

when we met
the heavens clapped
my word i gave you
to hurt you never
to leave you never
to love you ever.
You promised me too
then i watch you
break my young heart
i know not a thing to do
to bring you back
to rekindle the flame
but i won't forget
the love song you taught
me
i will sing it
at the top of
my voice
and pray it
leads you to me.
