I Wish You To Be Your Valentine...... Poem by Kshitiz Gupta

I Wish You To Be Your Valentine......

Heartless I was and life, a guarded prison,
still you pierced your way through...
Never I saw past black and white,
But you made me see the world in lavender hue....

You understood even the unsung thoughts,
words that never left their hide....
Rest never bothered what I wished for,
washed away like pebbles by a tide....

Those stolen glances, those intentional grazes...
those playful fights, those million smiles...
Wish we could just elope together,
somewhere just you and me, amidst countless isles....

Clouded with all these whims and fancies,
so that I could never miss a beat....
I just wish you to surrender,
Then you would never want a retreat....

All these dreams I dream,
they always leave me with a smile...
A smile for hope, it all comes true....
For fear, a tear at the corner of my eye....

Fear not, my heart consoles,
for emotion's pure and feeling's divine....
You're love-stricken, just say it, said heart
'Being a victim I wish to be your valentine....'
