I wish I were..


I wish I were a star, that twinkled away far
To give you all the light, morning, noon or night
I wish I were a flower, that which dried off never
To give the fragrance and color to your hands that it savored

I wish I were rain, that fell gently on your mane,
That dried up all your tears and washed away all your fears
I wish I were a smile, on your lips forever, while
At all times, high or low and every moment you would ever know

To be a twinkle in your eye, that never faded by,
Or every breath you took, or your confidence that never shook,
To be every ray of sun, with which your every day had begun
To be your every laugh or sigh, I wish I were alive!
