I Wish I Could Cry Poem by Win Gray

I Wish I Could Cry

Rating: 5.0

For the many lonesome days I spent disguising my depression with a smile
Concealing the chilling truth of my self-inflicted scars
I wish I could cry

For the many lonesome nights I spent petrified in my room
Terrified of the impending visits from beings from the other side
I wish I could cry

For the many infuriating criticisms that have wounded my aching soul
And tortured my sanity
I wish I could cry

But I cannot cry
Because those days and nights have made me numb,
Cynical of optimism and slightly neurotic.
