I Wish Poem by momodou jarju

I Wish

I wish
That every progeny born in my realm
Wouldn't cry of paucity
Neither shed tears of tasty

I wish
That I could build a strong fortress
In a way that peace could break it
And that chaos will fortify it

I wish
That all the motive mission
Of ours to flower like a tower
Succeed to graduate from tension
I pray and implore the Shower

I wish
That all may live in unity
To breathe in a hemisphere of liberty
Change our different than being lions
The driving force of being champions

I wish
I have the handsome papers
I would take them to nourish
My partners in strive, the paupers
To start a novelty life and flourish

I wish
In the quest of mapping out
The path forth to the pinnacles
At the culminate sky with proud
To end all pain and obstacles

I wish
That the sobs of ours
That which keep hoist every hour
Upon the hopeful part of a glob
The focal point for centuries
Yet effort prove futile
To quash it now!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
African has and is still enduring so much pain. A continent hail with rich resources yet cannot be in peace, cannot live without war, cannot progress fully, et cetera... it is thus pathetic... am crying and imploring the cruel helmsmen to quash their demonic monarch reigning and face the obstacles my dear brother and sister are enduring daily and to mean their saying during the campaigns in elections, caption: 'to better peoples' welfare and ensure good service delivery to the throng.' In a nutshell, the poem is about unity, freedom, protesting against war and calling the so-called leaders to do just to their following ship.
