How I wish high above my means
How I wish far below my dreams
That I will never ever be that one
That one that arrives when it is too late
The one that wishes they could wipe clean the slate
The one who has too much on their plate
And the one whose heart is full of hate

I wish when I am hurt I cry
That when I am happy I smile
I wish that my face always projects
And that my words always reflect
What my lips should not regret
That which my ears do not reject
And above all, what my heart carries on the inside
