I Will Keep You With Me Celebrated Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

I Will Keep You With Me Celebrated

Rating: 4.0

I will keep you with me celebrated.
I prayed too long for you to appear.
Your importance to me remains attached.
Nothing I've experienced has made that so clear.

If I should be stripped of everything I have,
You'd still be in my mind...
Addressing my every need.

If others observing this thought me foolish,
It would not be them I sought to please.
Or incited my excitement,
As you do with such ease.

I will keep you with me celebrated.
I prayed too long for you to appear.
Your importance to me remains attached.
Nothing I've experienced has made that so clear.

If I should be stripped of everything I have,
You'd still be in my mind...
Addressing my every need.
