I Will Feel Proud Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Will Feel Proud

Rating: 3.5

I will feel proud
And it may look sound too
When I go round
And find the people happy on ground

The day approaches
When we expect the mile stone to reach
Onion price may touch all the time high
Poor may really have to cry

Same is case with potato
Their names will have to be forgotten
Both the commodities are life line for rural poor
With dry bread what is to be eaten by laborer?

You make things sill dearer
As you are the real rulers
You can have anything you like
Thrust upon country with more dose of hikes

We may not care for your perks
But exemption from law gives us jerk
We gave you right to defend our interests
You defined it and served yours as best

Still we will not mind
If you remain little kind
Spare us from agony of death
Let it remain honorable till last breath

You need pension for rest of life
Where life is thorny as an edge of knife
We live on with bare minimum
You still need it as maximum

You have made it hereditary
As if it is paramount and necessary
We know river Ganges flow from Himalayan Mountain
But is it necessary to pollute river Ganga and stand to maintain
