I Will Count It All Joy Poem by Adam Henson

I Will Count It All Joy

Sorrow and suffering, depression and pain,
Feelings of loneliness, I might be insane.
Longing for something, not really sure why.
I say I'm ok but that's just a lie.
What am I missing, what could it be?
Unsure of anything. Unsure of me.
Family and friends, people who care,
I run away then say no one's there.
My brain is all twisted, nothing makes sense,
And for it all I have no defense.
When the pain in my heart is unbearable at best;
When the tears that I shed never come to a rest;
When the longing for love in my soul has no end;
When the loneliness endures, which none can contend;
I will fall to my knees. I will praise your great name.
I will cry to you God, of whom holds no blame.
I will draw near you Lord, the creator of all.
I will worship your name and on you I will call.
I will focus all sorrow, all pain, and all tears,
I will focus it all to bring praise to your ears.
I will draw strength from you as you draw near to me.
I will lift up my hands cause I know that you see.
I will make all my suffering a reason to praise.
I will gain joy from sorrow and your name I will raise.
I will read from your word, you will speak to me there.
I will gain hope in hearing, I will know that you care.
I will dry all my tears, empty heart will be filled.
I will praise your great name for the truth you revealed.
I will count it all joy, all my tears and my sorrow,
I will be closest ever to the giver of tomorrow.
