I Will Poem by Tracee Olga

I Will

Rating: 5.0

No matter how high the tide is it always subsides
Even the darkest night gives way to the sun
The thickest snow eventually melts
The steepest mountain must have a valley
The toughest rock shall become soil
Tallest tree, yesterday burnt it for coal
A single match stick burnt the whole forest
A single candle lights up a room
Drop by drop every drop important for the sea
A single maize seed produced hundreds
A tiny stone killed Goliath
The Times tower has a ground floor
So
I will swim through the tide
When it subsides I will be at the shores
I will sleep through the darkness for when I wake, it will be bright again
I will count the minutes till the next spring
For when the hour glass has sand no more, the flowers will grow
I will press on to the top,
For after that the ride will be smoother
I will hit harder
I will saw faster
I will push stronger
Caring not about the size of the giant
Till I break and crush, fall, cry
Then
I will rise again, fight and move
Till I crush again
Then
I will rise again this time stronger
I will battle on
Until I can battle no more
Then I will rest
I will
Coz he will be there
In the storm, in the steepness in the darkness in the tempest in the
Tough in the despair in the tiredness
Encouraging me on
Empowering me more
So
I will
Because he will never leave me nor forsake me
I will

I love the imagery you have used in this incredible poem showing true determination to succeed against all the odds. For anyone in a pit of despair, this poem could really help lift them away their depression. Thank you for giving people the strength to become happy.
