I Went To The Ocean Poem by Pushkar Bisht

I Went To The Ocean

I went to the ocean,
And the ocean rejected me,
Saying,
How poor you are
That you did not learn
From small things
And you thought me to be great
But you missed all the great things

I went to the river,
And it accepted me happily,
Saying,
I’ll teach what the ocean could not
And I’ll make you strong
To fight with all your difficulties,
So no situation will make you weak

I went to the ocean again,
And the ocean feels happy with me
Saying,
How rich you are
That you learnt from a small thing
And you thought me not to be great again but a small thing
You learnt what I could never teach you
A lesson of faith,
A lesson of truth,
A lesson of love,

The Ocean cries, saying, I’m not great at all
The river cries, saying, I’m not great at all
But we are just an equal creation by lord
So none of us is big or small
