I Went To Heaven



I went to heaven but could not stay
because you were not there.
For what could heaven offer me
but constant, constant prayer
to send me where your soul had gone
no matter where 'twould be.
No angel wings or celestial clouds
could ever bring me peace
if you I could not see.
