I Was Yours Poem by Lilly James

I Was Yours

I was your's
You were mine
We were happy as can be
I was your's
You were mine
What does it matter,
What they say
I was your's
You were no longer mine
I was okay being gay
You, you hated what they
Had to say about us
I was yours
You became his
I became lost in this game
We didn't even remain friends
You were magically cured
From this desease we held
I was not so easily cured
I don't feel this is wrong
So why must you deny
That you still love me
Please tell me you don't love
This man you call yours
This man who beats you
Find someone to love you
Don't let it be me for I am gone
This poem it`s my good bye
I wasn't to love who it is I love
So I leave this life
In hopes that somewhere
I can be gay or be cured
Of this thing believed to be
My desease
