I Was Right (Unfortunately) Poem by Paige Parker

I Was Right (Unfortunately)

I was right
but why does it have to be the bad one?
The only one i wish wasn't true
Guessing what it is can be hard, but not impossible
But once you hear it, you know it's true
'Everyone betrays you in the end'
And i do mean everyone
the best friends that end up stealing your love
the friends that ditch you for the enemy
the people that can't tell you the truth to your face
the one you love cheating, then leaving
the teachers you like, that end up failing you
Why does this have to be the ONE think i'm right about?
the one time i can say, 'I was right...'
