I was always alone

I was always alone
A dream that I could call my own
I could never love anyone but you
Take my hand, take my whole life too

I couldn't help but stare
I see you, I see stars
Your eyes outshine the stars
and I know you love me

I never met anyone quite like you
You gave me a feeling I never knew
and nothing less
No more thoughts of darkness

Your soul is, your heart is
and my heart lays in your hands
I want to feel your kisses
Your the focus of my plans

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
