I Was

I was
Sitting
Among
Shadows.

Waiting
For the
Light.

I was
Looking
At the
Ferns.

Waiting
For apple
Blossom.

I was
Stuck in
A peplum
Dress.

Waiting
For my
Blue jeans.

I was
Listening
To the
Silence.

Waiting
For it
To shout.

I was
Holding
Fifteen
Corpses.

Waiting
For them
To arise.

I was
Kissing
Page
Forty.

Waiting
For it
To turn.

I was
Writing
A lousy
Verse.

Waiting
For it
