I Want To Be Free - Poem by Juan Olivarez

I want to be free,
Like the breeze in the trees,
Shaking the leaves,
Chasing honey bees.

I want to be free,
Like the shining stars.
Shining down on the planets,
Like Venus and Mars.

I want to be free,
Like the fireflies.
Flying in a clearing,
Lighting up the skies.

I want to be free,
Like the setting sun.
Leaving in grand splendor,
When the day is done.

God one Juan. We all long for freedom, and you have expressed it so wonderfully here. (Report) Reply
