I Want Blood Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Want Blood

I want blood

Unlike them
(Nameless ones)

I want blood; in your veins
You alive, your heart pump.

Don’t want it for temple
Don’t smear on the door.

Want it yours, and active;
Carry food, also fight
The virus and microbes.

Out of vein, your blood
Is stain, it is filth; I don’t want.
Not of man, nor lamb; calf.

I give blood so you live
With blood in your vein.

Regardless, of our past.
Regardless, of your path.
Regardless, of tongue, faith.
