I Walk Among Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I walk among the heard of sheep
But still claim for high morale to keep
Write for readers to have an appetite
Digest with care and feel it right

I do react to anger
Feel the same intensity of hunger
Go all out and search for easy money
Why do I write and claim for so many?

I feel poet inside
Moon and sun is on my side
It is easy work to move around these objects
What else is there in mind except imagination in fact?

“You are making us fool” one of the readers blasted
“You are successful” another reader quickly lasted
I smiled with reason as they had made work easy
The poetic skill is in no way available in market or ready

Poets are born with some qualities
We find the reflection from different varieties
Some poets offer solution to great sufferings
State clearly about good relation between people and kings

This is how we carry on with culture
Collect from past threads and built new future
What we were and what are we going to be!
The foundation is clearly on the side of freedom and liberty

Poetry is an art of expression
True feeling with honest confession
The medium is not for the show of eloquence
It is rare opportunity for presentation as chance

I pick the pen and try to ink on page
This reminds of bird put in cage
It has wings and will power to fly
But oh god! With all the wishes it can not try
