I'Ve Never Poem by Edwina Reizer

I'Ve Never

I've never had a desire for money.
Some might think that strange.
I've never had to say to anyone
"Hey, can you spare some change? "

Never rich, but never poor
and always satisfied,
Content to live within my means
is how I'm identified.

Other things are in front of my eyes
Like awakening this morning
to a pink sunrise.
Like the sound of a bird
singing where're he flies.
Like the sounds of children
that laugh while they play
And the sounds of music
that make my day.

Now as for money there's one thing I do.
I purchase lottery tickets
and check the results too.
I never get my hopes up.
But if I ever won
I'd probably give most of it away
and end up with none.
