I'Ve Got You Under My Skin Poem by Paula Glynn

I'Ve Got You Under My Skin

You are like a cancer,
And I don't know why,
But I've got you under my skin,
You creep and slide,
Like some relentless bug,
Crawling your way,
In and out of my life.

You dominate my step,
You leave me not knowing,
What's next,
I don't know where,
My secrets are kept,
Where I can hide them from you.

Everything you do gets under my skin,
For you do not want me to win:
You want me to fail,
And be a loser like you,
You want me to be,
A sad and sorry fool,
As you act so evil and cruel.

Your heart is empty and cold,
And for you, I am too bold,
I don't hold back,
But your games are twisted,
Your jealousy relentless,
As you see your failures,
And plot with my pain.

No pain, no gain,
You are feeling the shame,
Of all you are not,
And my emotions,
Were tangled in a knot,
But I see things clearly now,
As you seethe with cruelty and evil.

Just be aware of what you do:
For what goes around, comes around.
