I've Got a Long Memory Poem by Edwina Reizer

You told me this. You told me that
and then forgot what you said.
But I don't forget the this and that.
I've got it all in my head.
And I can bring it back whenever I want
'Cause baby, I've got a long memory.

*** I remember you each time I breathe
and I never forget just how it feels
to be loved by you, I remember you.

You made me laugh. You made me cry
and made believe you were blind.
But I don't forget the laugh or cry.
I've got it all in my mind.
And I can bring it back whenever I want
'Cause baby, I've got a long memory.

REPEAT ***

You told me truths. You told me lies.
You nearly drove me insane.
But I don't forget the truths or lies.
I've got it stored in my brain.
And I can bring it back whenever I want.
'Cause baby, I've got a long memory.
